This is a cute, little, shiny brass whistle. I don't smoke, have no issues with breathing and still cannot push out enough of a whistle to scare away anything but a bird. This is an obnoxious sounding little whistle that is shrill and a bit high pitched sound but not ominous sounding.

I keep it on my keys. I work in loud environments, so when I'm trying to get someones attention, it works every time.
