Hand-forged solid sterling silver spiral cable needle. Gives you something to grip while knitting those crossover cable stitches.
An elegant swirl of pure copper this cardigan / shawl pin will hold even finest knits together without harm. It has polished tapered point. The pin is lovingly hand forged by me out of solid copper. It is also available in German silver and Sterling silver. Despite its delicate look the piece is very strong and will last you a lifetime.
It is ideal for your cardigan, scarf or shawl. Can be used on a hat as well. Both very functional and beautiful accessory.
For those who knit, this pin can be used to hold stitches in your cable knitting designs.
It is very easy to use! A stitch on one side of your garment, another one on the other side and screw to close the opening.
It measures approx. 4 cm in diameter.
As all my jewelry the pin will be carefully wrapped to be ready for giving.
Bare copper, sterling silver and German silver might naturally oxidize over time and might need to be polished. Except from polishing compounds you find in a jewelry shop you can also use white vinegar or lemon juice to polish the item and then rinse and dry.

Question: Can this spiral needle be used on fingering weight yarn?
Answer: Maybe, if you knit loosely on larger needles? I don't personally don't use this needle for cables on socks knit with fingering weight yarn on small needles (US1) as I knit tightly and there is no room to easily slide stitches onto the spiral needle from left to right.
