There is a slight chemical smell from the urethane coating on the ashtray. The coating is there to protect the wood from the elements. After leaving the ashtrays outside for a day, the chemical smell went away. I would buy it again...

Really unique ashtray. Looks great in the space. Doesn’t stain. Durable.

I didn’t expect much because of the price but I was wrong! It’s made of real varnished wood. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because there was a small chip on the side of the ashtray.

This is a very nice ashtray. However, I don't but my cigarettes in it. I don't want to burn the wood. I know, it's just an ashtray;but I want to keep it looking nice & clean.

Bought this for my friend and he loves it! Very cute only problem? The bottom isn't totally flat, which would have been important to know when buying the product.

Love the look but still leery of leaving cigarettes burning in them or butting them out. So far no problems with doing that. Has a spot on the inside that doesnt have varnish on it...Box said made in China.

My husband likes this ashtray for the rugged style and wind protection. It is a bit smaller than he thought but just as attractive as the photo. Feels like real bark, too.

the bottom wasn't flat as the center protrudes down a bit causing it to wobble. Added some stick on felt feet to the bottom and it's great.

Bought the 7.5 inch one and it's more like 6.25 inches. Fine for me, I actually prefer it this size, but if you're expecting the full 7.5 inches, you will be disappointed.

Could be a bit heavier for patio use; still nice.

Stinks to high heaven at first, but it lost all smell after sitting on my back patio for a few days. Rustic looking, but nice quality. It does the job and so far shows no burn marks.

i got this for a party bc it looks cool.

This smelled STRONGLY of lacquer out of the box. I put it outside and it dissipated, but wow, that was bracing. Otherwise it's exactly as pictured. It's a very attractive and unique-looking ashtray.

Awesome ash tray! I do wish the slots were a litter larger to fit cigars. It's more of a cigarette ash tray.

Just bought a cabin home. Nice accent.
